Refund & Cancellation Policy

What happens when a funded collaboration is cancelled before or after work begins.

Effective: September 17, 2026Last Updated: September 17, 2026

Before work starts

Eligible funded projects may be cancelled and refunded according to Chozea's platform process before work starts. Eligibility depends on the recorded project and payment state and any applicable processor restrictions.

A refunded project cannot start, and a refunded payment cannot later be released.

After work starts

Once work has begun, there is no automatic refund. Cancellation or a creator cancellation request moves the matter to manual resolution. Chozea does not present post-work payments as automatically refundable.

Evidence Chozea may review

  • Accepted deal terms and application information.
  • Chozea messages and relevant timestamps.
  • Deliverable submissions and version history.
  • Revision requests and approvals.
  • Cancellation history and payment records.

Possible outcomes

Depending on the documented circumstances, possible outcomes may include full payment to the creator, partial payment, partial refund, full refund, or cancellation without refund. Chozea does not promise any particular outcome.

  • A resolution depends on the facts and available evidence.
  • Processor, fraud, legal, or chargeback restrictions may affect what can be done.
  • Chozea does not act as a court, arbitrator, or regulated payment-holding provider.
