Disputes on delivered work
Brands can open a dispute from the project workspace at any time before the 7-day review window ends, with a written reason. This stops automatic release, notifies the creator, and sends the dispute to Chozea. While the dispute is open, neither side can complete the project or release the payment.
Chozea reviews the evidence described below and resolves the dispute by either releasing the funded payment to the creator or refunding it to the brand. Both sides are notified of the outcome. After the review window ends and the work is approved, a dispute can no longer be opened through the workspace; contact support@chozea.com instead.
Step 1: Communicate in Chozea
Use the collaboration's Chozea message thread to describe the issue, identify the relevant accepted term or deliverable, and propose a practical resolution. Keep communication factual and respectful.
Step 2: Contact support
If the issue is not resolved, email support@chozea.com. Include the campaign or deal, a short timeline, the specific issue, and the outcome you are requesting. Payment-related issues may be routed to payments@chozea.com.
Step 3: Platform review
Chozea may review accepted deal terms, applications, messages, timestamps, deliverable submissions, version history, revision requests, approvals, cancellation history, and payment records. Chozea may request additional documentation from either user.
Step 4: Platform resolution
Chozea will communicate the platform resolution and any resulting marketplace or payment state. The Brand Guarantee applies to qualifying requests, with brief-match disputes decided within 3 business days. Other outcomes depend on the documented facts, applicable terms, payment-provider restrictions, and law.
Legal rights
Chozea's internal process is not a court or arbitration proceeding and does not eliminate legal rights users may have under applicable law. This policy does not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, or a jury-trial waiver. This policy is part of our Terms of Service. Disputes are governed by the laws of the State of California, as set out in the Terms.
Safety and urgent matters
Report threats, harassment, fraud, or account compromise promptly to support@chozea.com. Contact appropriate emergency or law-enforcement services where immediate safety is at risk.
Creator problem reports
Creators can report a problem from the project workspace on any active deal before the work is approved. Reasons are: revisions beyond the agreed limit, a request outside the brief, an unresponsive brand, or other. The creator adds written details and may attach one file.
A report notifies the brand and Chozea and appears in Chozea's admin review alongside brand disputes. The 7-day review window keeps running unless Chozea chooses to pause it; if paused, the remaining time resumes once the pause ends or the report is resolved.
Chozea may resolve a report by releasing the payment to the creator, refunding the brand, or closing the report with a note. Both sides see the outcome and the note.
